Application and Enrollment
All children are admitted regardless of race, color, sex, ethnic origin or religion. We do believe strongly in the power of an educational pipeline so preference for admission will be given to students who have attended one of the It Takes a Village Early Learning Centers. Kindergarten classes will be provided to children who are at least 5 years old by September 1st. Children younger than five years old by September 1st must be assessed for placement.
Applications for kindergarten through eighth grade will be accepted on a rolling basis (priority deadline is January 15th). Prior to admission to first through eight grade, transcripts from all previous schools must be submitted, a student assessment must be taken ($75.00 non-refundable assessment fee), and parents must complete an interview with school administrative staff.
After all slots are filled, all inquiries for enrollment will be placed on a waiting list. Parents will be contacted by phone on a first come first served basis when a slot becomes available. The parent/guardian will have (3) working days from the date contacted to respond.
Individuals interested in gaining admission to Village Leadership Academy may contact us at any time to request application materials or to schedule a tour. Information sessions regarding admission to Village Leadership Academy will be hosted several times during each school year. Admission and placements decisions will be mailed by February 15th.
